We recommend all new puppy owners run their German Longhair in
at least a natural ability test through VHDF (Versatile Hunting
Dog Federation), the preferred testing system of the GLPCNA,
and/or NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog
Association). These tests give us and future puppy buyers
information about the dogs natural abilities. It also gives us
insight to our breeding program. Training for these tests will
help set a goal for you and give your dog the potential to reach
its hunting ability.
