Our breeding program utilizes the strict standards, as outlined below, before a sire and dam are used for breeding. We determine, with the assistance of the GLPCNA, what breeding will enhance the outstanding features of each dog to produce dogs that will excel as your hunting partner and family companion.

The Deutsch Langhaar Club in Germany has very strict standards before a German Longhair can be bred.

1. Passed a natural ability test (VJP).
2. Passed a breeder test (HZP).
3. Bark on sight of furred game.
4. A minimum rating of good in coat.
5. A minimum rating of good in conformation.
6. A minimum rating of good in type.
7. Certified hips with a rating of A, B, or C
8. Balanced temperament
